Donate to the Kishwaukee Health Foundation Special Focus Campaign

KishHealth System will finance the greatest portion of the cost of the new Cancer Center. Financing will come from various sources, including operations income, various donor restricted funds available, issuance of debt, and a Kishwaukee Health Foundation Special Focus Campaign.

Over the past 30+ years, Kishwaukee Community Hospital has achieved consistent financial stability, and is strong enough to support issuance of debt. By using funds available, debt, and this Campaign, the Health System can execute a plan that will maintain the hospital’s financial stability. This financing plan will reduce overall interest expense, and allow us to maintain essential cash reserves and continue investing in patient care.

It is the goal of Kishwaukee Health Foundation to provide $1 million in philanthropic support towards the cost of this much-needed facility. This goal represents seven percent of the total project cost, and the campaign will provide an essential part of the project’s overall financing.

Proceeds from the campaign will ensure that the project’s financing plan is sustainable and affordable reducing total payment. The $1 million is expected to save approximately $250,000 in debt service over the term of the financing.

Just about everyone’s lives are touched by cancer. The goal of the physicians and staff at the Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital has been and will continue to be to heal the whole body, and the whole family. The community as a whole will benefit from this new facility.
