Kishwaukee Community Hospital Community Campaign

The Health Foundation closed the Community Campaign for the new hospital on October 2, 2008 – one year from the opening of our new hospital! Thank you to all of you who helped us raise just under $9.5 million to make this wonderful facility possible.

Etched in Stone

Bricks, trees and rooms are available for naming in the Healing Gardens at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. A 4x8 brick is $500, an 8x8 brick is $1,000, and trees are available for $2,500.  Hospital rooms begin at $25,000 and vary on the room you wish to name – please call us for information.  Donations from these naming opportunities will be placed in our unrestricted endowment fund, to help ensure long-term quality healthcare.

I'm already a donor to the Community Campaign and would like to make my pledge payment.

Brick and tree orders received after June of 2008 will be placed in the Healing Gardens in June of 2009. Room plaques can be placed at any time.

Nursing Development Fund

The Nursing Development Fund provides an ongoing mechanism to fund KishHealth System nurses pursuing opportunities to fulfill professional development goals. These goals will enhance clinical excellence in delivery of patient care at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, Valley West Community Hospital, and DeKalb County Hospice.

Donation options:

There are two charitable Cancer Care funds set up to which you may make online contributions. The Thebeau Charity Cancer Care Fund was created by Bob and Ashley Thebeau on the occasion of his retirement as President and CEO of the KishHealth System. Upon reaching a $50,000 balance, the fund will be used for treatments, diagnosis, procedures, medications, and/or wigs for qualified DeKalb County patients.

The Baack Charity Cancer Care Fund was created as a memorial to Wolfram Baack by his family and friends, and is in place to provide funding for indigent KishHealth System patients who cannot afford to purchase needed complementary cancer medications to ease physical pain and the side effects of radiation and/or chemotherapy treatments, or medical supplies.

The Kishwaukee Cancer Care Center Fund is available for donors who wish to contribute unrestricted monies for cancer care.

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is proud to accept general donations in honor or memory of loved ones. Please call the Kishwaukee Health Foundation office for more information, or click to make an online donation as a memorial gift/honorarium.
