New Kishwaukee Community Hospital Community Campaign:
Etched in Stone
A community-wide capital campaign was conducted to assist in the financing of the new hospital. The goal was to raise $7 million of the $102 million construction project costs, the largest single project to be undertaken in DeKalb County. The outpouring of support from the community was overwhelming, with over $9.3 million in contributions and pledges!
Help support our New Hospital Community Campaign with your gift or pledge!
Etched in Stone gifts are still available, as follows:
$500 gift = 4x8 inch brick
$1,000 gift = 8x8 inch brick
$2,500 gift = tree
I'm already a donor to the Community Campaign and would like to make my pledge payment.

Orders received after December 1, 2006 and before March 1, 2008 will be placed in the Healing Gardens in June of 2008.
Other naming opportunities begin at the $25,000 level, and all donors of $5,000 or more will be listed on the donor wall in the lobby of the new hospital. Contact the Foundation office at 815.748.9954 for more information.
Nursing Development Fund
Initiated in 2003, the fund was created to provide funding to help underwrite the registration expenses for staff nurses for regional educational conferences, or for application fees for advanced certification programs in specialized clinical fields. Clinical Department annual budgets cannot cover these expenses.
Gifts to the Nursing Development Fund can be directed by the donor to the appropriate Kishwaukee Health System entity.
Donation options:
There are two charitable Cancer Care funds set up to which you may make online contributions. The Thebeau Charity Cancer Care Fund was created by Bob and Ashley Thebeau on the occasion of his retirement as President and CEO of the KishHealth System. Upon reaching a $50,000 balance, the fund will be used for treatments, diagnosis, procedures, medications, and/or wigs for qualified DeKalb County patients.
The Baack Charity Cancer Care Fund was created as a memorial to Wolfram Baack by his family and friends, and is in place to provide funding for indigent KishHealth System patients who cannot afford to purchase needed complementary cancer medications to ease physical pain and the side effects of radiation and/or chemotherapy treatments, or medical supplies.
Kishwaukee Community Hospital is proud to accept general donations in honor or memory of loved ones. Please call the Kishwaukee Health Foundation office for more information, or click to make an online donation as a memorial gift/honorarium.
